Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to ABUSUAPAWS, including the ABUSUAPAWS App at abusuapaws.app, the ABUSUAPAWS AI guide at abusuapaws.app/ask and the ABUSUAPAWS online store. ABUSUAPAWS is operated by Abusua Appiah Group LLC ("we", "us").

When you create an account we hold your email address, an encrypted password managed by our authentication provider and, if you add one, a display name. We use your email to sign you in, confirm your account, reset your password and send service messages.

• Pet profiles: name, species, date of birth or age, weight and any photo you upload.
• Records you add: daily observations, symptoms, stool, weight, routines, medication, vaccinations, feeding, reminders and vet appointments.
• Documents you upload, such as vet records.

This information is private to your account and is used only to provide the app to you.

• To show your pet's history, trends, summaries, reports and reminders.
• To answer Cat Check questions with relevant context from your own records.
• To manage subscriptions and orders.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the app and store are used and to improve them.
• To keep the service secure and working.

Data is stored with our cloud hosting and database provider. Database access rules restrict each customer record to the account that created it. Connections are encrypted in transit. Staff access to the private ABUSUAPAWS Business OS is limited to authorized staff accounts, and internal reporting uses aggregated figures rather than browsing individual records.

The app records basic usage events, such as app opens, screens used and features used, linked to your account, plus marketing campaign tags (for example utm parameters) present on the link you arrived from. The ABUSUAPAWS AI guide at /ask does not save your conversation text; it records only anonymous events tied to a random session code, such as conversation stage, the general topic, the type of next step suggested and which suggested link you open. To prevent misuse, we temporarily count messages per network address and may briefly limit how many you can send.

On our online store, with your consent through the store's cookie/consent banner, we receive anonymous store events (such as page, product, cart and checkout steps), product and order values, and campaign tags. These store events do not include your name, email, phone number or address.

We advertise on Reddit. To measure whether those ads lead to sign-ups and subscriptions, we may share a small set of events with Reddit through the Reddit Pixel in your browser and Reddit's Conversions API from our servers: visiting our homepage or start page, meaningfully viewing our start page, creating an account, creating your first cat profile, your first wellness record, and starting ABUSUAPAWS Plus (with the payment amount and currency only). Each event carries a random event ID and, if you arrived from a Reddit ad, Reddit's click ID (rdt_cid).

We never send Reddit your name, email, phone number, your cat's details, health records, symptoms, stool, weight, medications, vet documents or AI conversations. Reddit uses these events to measure and improve ad delivery under its own privacy policy.

In the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland (and wherever we can't determine your location) nothing is shared with Reddit unless you accept advertising cookies in our banner. Elsewhere this measurement is on by default and you can turn it off. We keep a record of your choice (a random browser ID, your choice, the notice version and the time). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: Cookie settings.

ABUSUAPAWS Plus and supplement subscriptions are paid through Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's pages and are never received or stored by us. We store subscription status, plan, billing dates and Stripe customer and subscription references so we can provide the features you paid for.

Our store runs on Shopify, which processes store orders under its own privacy policy. We read order information (order number, products, quantities, totals, discounts, refunds and status) into our private Business OS for sales reporting. To link a store order to an app account we compare a one-way hashed email; we do not store raw store customer emails for this purpose.

When you use Cat Check, your message and relevant records about the selected pet are sent to an AI model provider to generate a reply. Cat Check conversations are saved in your account so you can return to them, and you can delete them. Messages to the /ask guide are sent to the AI model provider to generate replies but are not saved by us. AI replies are general wellness guidance, not diagnosis.

Authorized ABUSUAPAWS staff may connect the company's own social and advertising accounts (such as Pinterest, TikTok, Meta, YouTube and Google Ads) to the private ABUSUAPAWS Business OS for read-only business analytics. These connections concern the company's own accounts, not customers' accounts.

For Pinterest, an authorized ABUSUAPAWS staff member connects the company's own Pinterest Business account to the private Business OS through Pinterest OAuth. The integration is read-only. The Pinterest API permissions used are ads:read, pins:read, boards:read and user_accounts:read. Through these permissions, Business OS may retrieve Pinterest organic content and performance information, such as the account's Pins, boards and the organic performance metrics Pinterest makes available for them, and Pinterest advertising reporting data, such as campaigns, ad groups, ads, spend, impressions, reach, clicks, conversions and the checkout and conversion value Pinterest reports. Pinterest data is used for internal business analytics, reporting and performance measurement.

The integration does not create, edit or delete Pins, boards, campaigns, ads, budgets, targeting or any other Pinterest content, and it does not act on behalf of other Pinterest users. It is for ABUSUA APPIAH GROUP LLC's own Pinterest Business account and is not a third-party Pinterest management service. Pinterest credentials, OAuth tokens and API secrets are handled securely server-side, stored encrypted, and are never exposed to the browser. We never request or store Pinterest passwords. The connection can be disconnected at any time, which deletes the stored tokens.

We use providers to run ABUSUAPAWS: cloud hosting, database, authentication and file storage; email delivery; an AI model provider for Cat Check and /ask; Stripe for payments; and Shopify for the online store. They process data only to provide their services to us.

ABUSUAPAWS does not sell your personal information and does not share it for advertising by others.

• View, edit or delete individual records at any time.
• Turn reminders and notifications on or off in Settings.
• Reset your password from Settings or the sign-in page.
• Delete your account from Settings, which permanently removes your account, pet profiles, records, photos and documents.
• Email info@abusuapaws.com to request access to or deletion of your data.

ABUSUAPAWS does not diagnose, treat or prevent illness and is not an emergency service. If your cat needs help, contact your vet or an emergency clinic.
